Remodeled in 2017 - 1000 square foot cabin sleeps 4 people (two queen beds). Property Features: The lot sits on 100 feet of Lakeshore on Fish Lake Reservoir, Duluth, MN and is near the end of a private road. Bedrooms: Both bedrooms have queen beds. All bedding provided. We are strict on the number of occupants to a maximum of 4 people (the 4 people maximum includes all children no matter their age, including infants). Living Space: The living room has a beautiful fireplace. A flat screen (Smart TV - provides local channels) is located in the living room, along with a DVD player and Bose speaker for streaming music. This property currently does not have internet provided but cellular service is great. Kitchen: The provides hand towels, hand soaps, and dish soap. The kitchen is fully supplied with everything you should need for your vacation. Please feel free to contact owner if you are wondering if something specific is available. Dining Room Area: A dining table overlooks the deck, lake, and living room. A sitting room is next to the dining room that also has a couch/sitting area. Bathroom: Shower towels, washcloths, hand towels, beach towels, and scented lotions are provided. The bathroom provides a shower, no tub. A stackable washer and dryer are available for use. Deck: The deck is 38 feet across and 10 feet in depth and overlooks the lake and then wraps around portions of the cabin. Fire Pit - Located along the lakeshore and firewood is not provided, but you'll see firewood for sale along you way to the cabin as you are getting close. Kayaks: Four kayaks are provided during your stay. Life jackets are NOT provided, but required. Lake - The lake is 3000 acres with many islands to explore. Dock - Since 2021 is mild we are hoping to have the dock in for fishing opening. Typically the dock is put in the water over Memorial Day Weekend and will be removed sometime mid September of each year. Location - The cabin is 20 Minutes from Duluth Mall, 25 Minutes from major tourist area "Canal Park" on Lake Superior, Movie theatre is only 15-20 minutes away on that rainy day. Three Restaurants/Bars on lake accessible by boat. Convenience store with bait/tackle/propane tank refills/groceries/gas 5 miles away. Launch Boat - The boat launch is less than a mile from the cabin and you'll pass it on your way to the cabin. The lake has great walleye, northern, crappie, and sunny fishing. Boat rentals are available to rent with reservation at High Banks Resort and Blue Max which are on the lake. Grill: Gas grill provided on deck. Local Area: This property is located approximately 25 minutes from Canal Park and 20 minutes to the Duluth Mall. So many other places to see in Duluth if you so desire. A convenience store is only 5 miles away that provides bait, tackle, food, supplies, gas, and propane refills for grill. Only registered guests are allowed on the property throughout your stay. **Don't Allow: Animals, parties, smoking, throwing rocks from shoreline into water (rocks are hauled in for stabilization) or # of people over the number reserved otherwise the damage deposit will be forfeited. There are three rooms; equipped kitchen/dining, bathroom with shower (no tub) and stack washer and dryer, bedroom with queen bed, TV with wifi connection, and full size sofa bed. We've gone out of our way to provide a comfortable queen size bed with cotton sheets, a down like comforter, both hard and soft pillows to choose from, and a blackout curtain to darken the bedroom for an afternoon nap. Are you looking for a quiet country escape? This property is for you! Our guest house resides on the property of our main home. The guest house boasts three bedrooms and will sleep up to 7! Bedroom 1 has a bunk bed- 1 twin and 1 full. Bedroom 2 has a trundle bed- both twins. Bedroom 3- 1 queen bed. The home is all on one level and features a kitchen with island seating, adjoined dining area, open living room and bathroom with walk-in shower (note: its not wheel chair accessible- sorry). There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom closet as well (brand-spanking new as of August 19, 2018!). The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. You just bring the food! The home has in floor heat in the main area- baseboard heat in the back bedroom, and we supply a window AC unit for the summer months. The living room offers a 32 inch TV with access to all local channels (approximately 15- including NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX). For those who would like internet, we will provide a WIFI hotspot upon request. Cellular reception has been reliable for both ATT and Verizon customers. We recently added a DVD player as of November 2018. There is a sliding glass door off the dining area that opens to a patio and fire pit. We supply firewood. Patio also offers table and chairs for lounging or enjoying an evening meal outside. An outside propane grill is on the patio for guest use! We are currently developing some trails on our acreage and would be willing to share details for those who would like to explore- we are planning to place some fire pits at intersections for those who would like to hang out and enjoy. Our lovely home is fabulous for a quiet get away or relax from as you explore all Duluth has to offer year round. We have a master bedroom with a king bed and a second room with an exceptionally comfortable queen pull out bed (memory foam). Spacious tree filled yard offers privacy and beauty. Permit PL16-107. Pretty neighborhood with easy access. Great reviews and repeat guests. No pets sorry. Our lovely home offers a warm and comfortable space to rest and relax and a welcoming return after a long day exploring Duluth. The living room with large windows offers views of the woodsy back yard and abundant light and warmth when the sun shines! Moon light, too! The house is on a large lot with plenty of space between neighbors, offering a feeling of privacy. As weather allows, a backyard patio with table and chairs invites outdoor meals. The house does not have air conditioning and can be quite warm during certain weeks of the summer. Fans are provided and usually only needed for a couple of weeks time during summer months. Space heaters available in winter as well to supplement house heat if necessary. There is no TV or Cable, land line or AC. Guests have access to 1 bedroom with a king sized bed, as well as an exceptionally comfortable pull out couch in the second bedroom, queen sized. The house could sleep 4, however there is only 1 bathroom. A laundry room and kitchen do provide an additional sink however. A large backyard with table, 6 chairs and umbrella to enjoy when weather allows. A full kitchen with electric appliances and a laundry room are available for use, as well as WIFI. There is no TV or Cable, land line or AC. Interaction with guests Generally speaking, we will be intermittently available during your stay, and we will do our best to provide you with contacts to assist you with questions as they arise.

Great little getaway home! Less then a mile from multiple hiking, biking and snowmobile trails. The superior hiking trail and coggs bike trails are right out the front door. Less then a 15 minute drive to spirit mountian. Located right on the bus line for easy access to down town. Close to shopping, bars and restaurants. Large fenced in backyard for a pooch friendly stay. The house is newly updated and now has air conditioning! Disclaimer: This is an old house, 116 years old to be exact. Most homes in Duluth are over 100 years old. If your expectation is a brand new, modern house, this is not the rental for you.
